One of today's most important pianists gracing concert venues the world over, Yefim Bronfman performs regularly with the New York Philharmonic, the Orchestras of Chicago, Philadelphia, Cleveland, the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony, the Israel Philharmonic (in Israel and on tours abroad), the Vienna Philharmonic, Orchestre de Paris, the Moscow Philharmonic and many others. He has collaborated with celebrated conductors, among them Daniel Barenboim, Christoph von Dohnanyi, Charles Dutoit, Valery Gergiev, Lorin Maazel, Kurt Masur, Zubin Mehta, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Yuri Temirkanov and others. His festival engagements include Ravinia, Tanglewood, Hollywood Bowl, Aspen, Mostly Mozart, Verbier, Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival and others. A winner of the prestigious Avery Fisher Prize, his recording for Sony Classical of the three Bartok piano concertos with Esa-Pekka Salonen and Los Angeles Philharmonic won a Grammy Award. Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, he studied with Arie Vardi in Israel and with Rudolf Firkusny, Leon Fleisher and Rudolf Serkin in USA.
